Final Fantasy VII Remake is an upcoming action role-playing video game published and developed by Square Enix. The game is a remake of the 1997 PlayStation 4 game Final Fantasy 7. The story follows Cloud Strife, a soldier who enters an eco-terrorist group to end a world-controlling megacorporation from practising the planet’s life force as mako energy.
Events send Cloud and his partners in pursuit of Sephiroth, a superhuman who seeks to wound the planet and harness its healing strength in order to be reborn as a demigod. During the journey, Cloud develops close friendships with his party members, including Aerith Gainsborough, who endures the secret to saving their world.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date
Despite the game being announced back in 2015, the initial Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date wasn’t disclosed until May 2019. Earlier the remake was planned to release on May 3, 2020, but the company now plans to release the Final Fantasy 7 Remake on May 10, 2020.
Square Enix plans to publish the game in episodic instalments, with the first scheduled for release on May 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4. Rumours suggest that FF7 Remake May come to the PlayStation 5 at a later date.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Game Review
The gameplay combines real-time action with other strategic elements. Exploration both take place in real-time. The player can also halt the action and use special abilities such as magic, items, and special moves. The player can also allow these unique abilities to shortcut buttons, enabling them to play solely in real-time without pausing.
Each special ability uses up a segment of the ATB (Active Time Battle) bar. The player can also change between party members at whatever time they want. Each party member has their own unique skills, such as Cloud’s close-quarters fight attacks and Barret’s long-range distance attacks.
Players will also be able to use magic and summons, and once charged a Limit Break gauge allows characters to perform more powerful attacks. Basically, you attack enemies with the Square button, use Circle to dodge and the R1 button to block. By attacking enemies and preventing attacks, you’ll build up your ATB gauge, which you can then spend using combat abilities and objects.
