Everything must be unlocked starting from powerful items and equipment, new characters with unique skills, and playstyles by completing a specific challenge or achievement. Recently, Risk of Rain 2 came up with a new update called Hidden Realms. Many new items have been introduced and the game has just gotten even more interesting. Now players can choose from a whole lot of new items to accomplish and unlock new challenges. Risk of Rain 2 New Items:

Beads of Fealty	You can only use this in A Moment, Fractured, and enter the green portal
Genesis Loop	Falling below 25% of health causes you to explode, dealing 6000% base damage
Pearl	Increases maximum health by 10%

Newest (Soulbound Catalyst) Risk of Rain 2

The Newest (Soulbound Catalyst) is a challenge in the Risk of Rain 2. The Challenge is to activate 8 unique Newt Altars completed across multiple runs. The rare item Soulbound Catalyst unlocks after completing this challenge.

It basically deals with three spawns on each map. Any 8 separate Altars must be activated. Newt Altars surface randomly in some fixed locations, and players can pay a Risk of Rain 2 Lunar Coin into them. They May appear in hard-to-reach locations. In order to complete the challenge players will need to actually activate these Newt Altars.
