Father Gascoigne

Father Gascoigne is the first mandatory Bloodborne Bosses of the game. It is the most tragic character in the game. He was a priest in some foreign land before coming to Central Yharnham.

He joined a Healing Church in Yharnham as a hunter and soon became affected by the bloodlust. In Yharnham, he goes on a frenzied killing spree that makes him one of the deadliest characters of the game. He met an older hunter Henryk and became his partner in crime. This partnership led to Henryk’s ‘tragically’ long life.

Gascoigne is armed with a Hunter Axe and wears his titular Gascoigne’s Set. The players of Bloodborne shall find him after facing Cleric Beast, who is an optional boss of the game. To defeat a tough boss like Father Gascoigne, the players need to have a grip over combat mechanics like dodge and parry.

Father Gascoigne takes three forms in the battle; the first two involve using a trick weapon, the Hunter Axe. At this time, the player can perform a Visceral Attack after analyzing his timings.

In Phase one, the player can slay the first Shadow by lurking away other shadows. Since the first Shadow is very slow, it’s easier to kill that one first. The player can use the large tombstone to separate this Shadow. 

The player will enter the second phase when the damage inflicted on the Shadow’s health is 75%. Here, Shadow 2 and 3 will shoot tentacles and can summon the ability to use snakes.

The Shadow 1, if survived, will shoot mortar-like AoE fireballs that explode when they land. Finally, in phase three, there are two possibilities. Either a single Shadow remains, or both remain in poor health.

In this phase, along with summoning snakes, the Shadow (s) will surround itself with a ring of light, and eerie chanting will be heard. The decisive blow will happen at the gravestone when the Hunter eliminates the Shadow (s).

Rom, The Vacuous Spider

The next on the list of Bloodborne Bosses is Rom, The Vacuous Spider, who is among the decisive bodies of Bloodborne. Killing this Boss means entering the second half of the game and triggering Blood Moon, which is responsible for the barrier preventing humans from seeing the true horrors surrounding them.

Rom, The Vacuous Spider is found at Moonside Lake in Byrgenwerth College. She used to be a scholar at the Byrgenwerth College, but Kos transformed it into one of its Kin. One can also find this spider in Lower Pthumeru Chalice. A wave of spiders comes on the command of this Boss while unleashing arcane attacks.

Now let’s know how to tackle this Boss to enter the next level in the game. To turn the wave of spiders and also the Rom, The Vacuous Spider, into spiderlings, Shaman Bone Blades can prove to be an effective battle. She shows some weakness to Arcane, Fire, and the most effective being the Bolt.

Your first target should be the lesser enemies to be tackled with melee attacks. Summoning help in this battle can be difficult, so use strong attacks while she is teleporting.

Your final attack should be the ice attack, which will be used intelligently. First, run towards the Boss and to the left, hit once, run away, and repeat. This will weaken the spider, and before you know it, you have conquered this Bloodborne Boss too.

One Reborn

Now comes one of the Bloodborne Bosses born out of the decaying bodies of the Yharnam’s residents, the One Reborn. The One Reborn is created in a horrific Pthumerian ritual. The One Reborn stands in the way of the Nightmare of Mensis. 

Just like the Rom, The Vacuous Spider, One Reborn is assisted by an army of Chime Maiden. The Chime Maidens are capable of shooting fireballs and are also capable of healing One Reborn using purple projectiles.

Undefeatable, it May seem, but you are not alone in this battle. You can summon the Old Hunter Defector Antal with the Old Hunter Bell to assist you in battle. The summon “sign” is in front of a crashed carriage near the fog gate.

The fight with the Boss will start in a library with steps going up and down. The fight with this Boss will happen in two phases. In the first phase, you need to take the Boss to a dead-end room where you can beat him until he is half-healthy.

In the battle with Mergo’s Wet Nurse, she will try to intimidate you by swinging all her blades. But the way to escape is to run around to her back. She can only hit you a couple of times from there, and you can easily regain that health by attacking and causing heavy damage.

She will release a purple fog and a clone for a minute to confuse you. But this clone can be damaged in a single strike using a fast weapon. Make sure you get to her back to save yourself from her attacks. 

She is weak in front of Poison Knives, Molotovs, and Oil Urns. The Arcane weapon buff Empty Phantasm Shell is also very effective against the Boss. She is also weak to bolt; an upgraded Tonitrus or another upgraded weapon with Bolt Paper can do massive damage to her.

Gehrman, The First Hunter

Next in the list of Bloodborne Bosses is Gehrman, The First Hunter, who appears in front of the player wearing a unique and unobtainable armor set that possesses the Burial Blade and a special variant of the Hunter Blunderbuss.

Defeating this player means appearing infant of the Moon Presence and getting to the end of the battle with the bosses. The Boss is found in the Hunter’s Dream.

The battle with Gehrman, The First Hunter, will start with him using side swings and a curved sword, and a blunderbuss. You can save yourself from this attack if you stay close to him. 

Then comes the scythe form, which is easier to deal with if you walk backward. Run towards him and roll right for his curved sword and gun; if he rolls and shoots, you’ll get two free hits on him. Here, using “Quickening” will help weaken and decrease mobility.

Moon Presence

Next on the list of Bloodborne Bosses is Moon Presence. If you are facing Moon Presence, then it means that you declined Gehrman, The First Hunter’s offer, and now you will have to defeat Moon Presence for your survival.

 Moon Presence is the final Boss of the Bloodborne game and is one of the fabled Great Ones. It controls everything in the Hunter’s Dream, although its origin and purpose are unknown.

In the battle with the Moon Presence, ensure you are in mid-range with him and lure it into its 3-hit combo. It will throw pale white balls which burst and rain blood in a medium-sized AoE, which May turn bloody for you. 

To counter its attack, make use of Burial Blade and attack the Moon Presence while it is exhausted and vulnerable; one can safely recover all of their lost HP.
