We must say that the device is perfect for professional gamers as well as the general audience that is into gaming and wants to explore all modern games. Here in this review, we will try our best to honestly describe our personal experience with the device in everyday life.

The Asus TUF gaming F15 is available in the market at a price of $1,399.99. The same can be purchased from the official website of Asus or from online shopping websites like Flipkart and Amazon. It is available in two different colors – Mecha Grey and Yaeger Grey.

Asus TUF Gaming F15 Design

The design of the Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop is pretty identical to its previous generation. It carries the legacy of sturdy design with a minimalistic back. You can see the TUF logo at the center of the back panel and the top right corner of the trackpad.

The keyboard deck of the device is similar to what we see in classic offerings. Nonetheless, the WASD buttons (the most important ones for gamers) have a white base instead of black.

One of the most important parts is that the device has four function keys just above the keyboard deck – volume up, volume low, mute, and armoury crate. This is something that you only get to see in Asus gaming laptops.

Apart from that, you can see a speaker grille at the top right corner of the keyboard. Of course, we cannot forget the notch that houses the front camera. We tried running Mortal Kombat 11. Though we have zero complaints about the performance mode, yes, the colors of the game looked a bit bland, and if you are an avid gamer who loves immersive experiences, then you can face a little bit of disappointment.

Asus TUF Gaming F15 Performance

Powered by the Intel Core i7 12th generation, the Asus TUF gaming F15 laptop delivers promising results in terms of performance. Also, we can’t ignore the fact that the Windows 11, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU topped with 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD make it a beast. The processor of this gaming laptop comes with a hybrid design architecture with 8 efficient cores and 6 high-performance cores.

Another major highlight of the gaming laptop is the MUX switch which is something you’ll not get in any alternatives from other brands. So let’s understand what a system without a MUX switch does, the discrete GPU’s output passes via the integrated GPU before it makes it to the display.

Nonetheless, the story is pretty different in the case of a MUX switch. The switch allows the discrete GPU to skip the iGPU and directly connect with the display.

While we’ll not say that this doesn’t take a toll on the battery life the performance boost will definitely give you chills. All in all, if you are someone who loves Far Cry or the Tomb Raider series, then the MUX switch is something that is really going to level up your gaming experience.

Talking about the Asus TUF Gaming f15, you will have to switch on the integrated GPU from the armoury crate, as its default setting supports hybrid mode.

In terms of performance modes, the laptop has four of them, like other gaming laptops from Asus. These modes are Windows mode, Silent mode, Performance mode, and turbo mode.

As the names suggest, Windows mode is for basic working on the laptop, or we can say for everyday multitasking; silent mode is the kind of mode used when there is no to minimal use of cooling fans to reduce noise levels, and performance mode is something where things get heated up, and turbo mode allows you to go guns blazing and play the heaviest games on your laptop. All the power settings, GPU settings, and other critical stuff can be accessed via the armoury crate.

To reduce lag and minimize stuttering, Asus has worked wonders in the case of the TUF gaming f15 laptop. The brand has offered 5 dedicated heat pipes and new 84-blade Arc Flow fans to deal with the heat generation.

The hottest spot of the laptop is, of course, the bottom panel, where we can see the exhaust vents as well. In layman language, you can run any of the demanding games on this gaming laptop without worrying about the performance or extreme temperatures.

To prove our point that the laptop is a beast in terms of performance, we ran a few tests, and the results were more than satisfactory. The Asus TUF Gaming f15 managed to score 1784 in the single-core tests on Geekbench, and the multi-core score was 12,698.

One thing that can be said undoubtedly is that The UF gaming F15 is seriously better than its previous generations. Whether it is the powerful exhaust vents, running most games, the turbo setting, or the synchronicity of internal components, the Asus TUF Gaming f15 ticks all the boxes in a single go.

Asus TUF Gaming F15 Keyboard & Touchpad

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop has a full keyboard setup complemented with a number pad as well. what makes it different are the dedicated keys that can be used for basic tasks like accessing the armoury crate, adjusting volumes, and muting.

With the help of function keys and the function key, you can adjust brightness, switch between modes, activate airplane mode, and more.

We were really impressed with the keyboard deck of the Asus TUF Gaming F15, as the keys are a delight to touch, and the response time is amazing. What surprised us the most was that when we took a typing test, our speed and accuracy came out to be better than the keyboard we used to punch (just kidding) every time.

Nevertheless, the num pad key of the laptop is smaller in size and different in ratio compared to the basic keys. Moreover, the arrow keys were a bit uncomfortable to use due to their size, of course, which pretty much explains why WASD has a differentiating factor.

As for the touchpad, we have mixed feelings. On one hand, it seems pretty convenient to scroll, but as soon as it comes to clicking, Asus could have done much better. Moreover, the trackpad could have been a bit larger, considering this one belongs to the gaming laptops category.

Asus TUF gaming F15 Battery life

Here comes the most important part, the basics about the battery life of Asus TUF Gaming F15. As claimed by the company, the TUF Gaming f15 ships with a 90Wh battery supporting fast charging as well. Asus says that the battery of the device gets up to 50 percent charged in just 30 minutes. At the time of practical testing, we noticed that the claims were right; the battery got 50% charged in a calculated 32 minutes.

If you are using the device in silent mode or performance mode, the battery life can surprise you on a noticeable level as it can go on for hours. On the other hand, if you primarily use the device for gaming, then you need to plug it into the charger in order to activate the turbo mode.
