Destiny 2 Agonarch Abyss Ascendant Challenge in 2024

Another week and Agonarch Abyss Ascendant Challenge. You can find it in the lost sector bay of Drowned Wishes. These are also essential for the Cursebreaker seal, by doing all 6 of them you earn the Secret Victories emblem, which is part of the Dreaming City collection. Some also contain secret eggs and Marasena bones.

Bay of Drowned Wishes Location

To reach the Bay of Drowned Wishes Location, Just follow the steps given below:

• Spawn on Divilian Mists
• Turn and you will see a lost sector icon and it’s hard to miss. Move your head inside and move forward. You will see the lost sector which is known as the Bay of Drowned Wishes.
• Once you are out of the den, move forward toward the right.
• Pop the Tincture of Queensfoil and you will see the Ascendant Plane.

The Agonarch Abyss is one of the easier ones, Maybe not the easiest but certainly not hard, especially on a Titan character, but later on that. You have to do a bit of jumping, then defeat two taken wizards and Bob’s your uncle.

How to Complete Agonarch Abyss Ascendant Challenge

To start this challenge, you spawn in the Dreaming City landing zone and head to the NPC vendor, Petra Venj. Petra could be in either of the zones of the map, as the Dreaming City is on a three-week rotation. When you pick up the bounty for the challenge, read the small cryptic blurb from Toland.

The blurb reads as follows: “Drown in your wishes, dear squanderer.” The drowned and wishes are suggestive of the lost sector. You will need a tincture of queensfoil to see the ascendant portals, so use one from your inventory.

If you don’t have it in your inventory, you can pick one up on your way, at the bottom part of the building, you find two ahamkara skulls. The one called Huginn sells them for 50 baryon boughs a pop. You could stack up on 5, so we suggest buying as many as you can afford. 

After you drink the tincture of Queensfoil, head back to the landing zone at divalian mists, then turn around and jump up the rocks and head into the lost sector. Clear some of the mobs to make your life easier than hugging the rock wall to your right head towards the entrance of the cave where the lost sector boss fight usually takes place.

Before you reach it you will see a small ledge and above the ledge, there is your portal. You need to look it up because it is quite high above, so it’s easy to accidentally miss it. Jump through it and then follow Toland as he leads you through several platforms down to the boss fight area. If you are on Titan you can sword fly straight to the small shrine, if you know how to do that. It is very convenient especially if you are doing a time trial. 

I have to mention that if you are after the lore and the eggs you need to do it the traditional way because the first egg is above you when you jump on the first circular platform above to your right higher up on the top of a rock. There is a bone on the textured longish platform behind the tree, and then the next egg is on the statue’s head, and the last one is on top of the dome of the shrine where the boss fight takes place.

While you are following Toland be extra careful when you need to slide down the platform and jump to the next. If you jump to high the fall damage will kill you as it is a bit buggy. When you jumped down to the shrine two taken wizards and some mobs will spawn. Try to kill them as fast as possible as they keep spawning blights which will debuff you with shadow touched and slow you down and you can get killed that way.

When you get rid of the wizards the taken mobs will despawn. The chest will spawn and after you collect your loot your portal will spawn on the other side.
