Redfall Release Date is still a mystery, but there’s a lot to know about this upcoming game. Before getting into the article, you should know that game is still under development and we will see the first Redfall gameplay by 2024.

Redfall Story

As we all know that Redfall is a newly announced game from Arkane Studios. This game was first announced during E3 2021 and it belongs to the Action-adventure First-person shooter Genre.

The game is available in single-player as well as multiplayer mode. If we talk about the story of the game, it is believed to be set within the island town of Redfall. The events in the game or the aftermath of the game are seen after a failed scientific experiment.

There is a legion of vampires that invades and isolates the town from the outside world. After the players are trapped inside Redfall, they have to choose among four unique survivors- Devinder Crousley,  student Layla Ellison, combat engineer Remi de la Rosa, and sharpshooter Jacob Boyer.

After you take any of the characters, the task that you will be provided is to slay their enemies, vampires and humans alike.

In short, if we want to say anything about the game, we can say that Redfall is an upcoming Bethesda-published and Arkane Studios-developed first-person shooter that was revealed at the Xbox + Bethesda E3 2021 showcase as the final game.

Though we did not come across any gameplay footage, what we know about the game is that the cinematic trailer provided an idea of what we can expect. Also, as not much is currently known about Redfall, you will be hearing from us in the upcoming time.

Redfall Release Date

What we came across after the Redfall’s debut trailer is that it gave us a might-be possible release window of “Summer 2022.” At this point, it is said that the Redfall Release Date is on May 2024,  if there aren’t any delays for now. Its release can take place as said before if it doesn’t hit any development roadblocks and require a delay.

If we talk about the name of the game, the name “Redfall” has been known for a while and it was due to a trademark dispute in 2019. Many of us assumed that Redfall was the subtitle for The Elder Scrolls 6, but later on, it turned out that it actually refers to Arkane’s new shooter game.

An assumption can be made from here that the game is actually fairly far into its development and we can have hope in this matter that Arkane is pretty confident about hitting that summer 2022 release window.

Redfall for Xbox

With every news and rumor going on about Redfall in the gaming industry, it can be said that Redfall is currently slated for a summer 2022 release and when it arrives, it will most probably be an Xbox console exclusive.

This means that the game will be landing on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Game Pass from day one. A fair evaluation that was made here is that Xbox One was absent from the list of available platforms at the end of the trailer, meaning that Redfall could firmly be a current-gen title. Apart from Xbox, it’s possible that Microsoft Windows will also get Redfall.

Redfall Characters

Apart from all the information about the game that we have till now, there is one regarding the characters of the game. As we still have a lot to learn about the game but the trailer depicted four player characters battling vampires in a post-apocalyptic town setting.

These four playable characters in the game are known by name of Devinder Crousley,  student Layla Ellison, combat engineer Remi de la Rosa, and sharpshooter Jacob Boyer.

Redfall Trailer

There has been a Redfall’s reveal trailer and what we evaluated from that is it gave us a good idea about what we can expect from the game. Redfall was announced via a 5-minute cinematic trailer.

Unfortunately, we did not come across any game footage within the video, but it did a good job of setting the mood and introducing Redfall’s characters.

Redfall Rumors

There have been rumors about the game in which some claim that the game will step into the looter-shooter genre. Some say that the game might have six pre-made playable heroes and we only know of four of them so far, it also said that the abilities of these heroes “are improved via exp from kills and missions“. As these are just the rumors for now we cannot possibly rely on them. We have to wait for some time to see the final result.
