At the start of Destiny 2 A Hard Rain Falls Quest, you need to speak to the Exo Stranger at Europa’s Campsite. From there forward, you will need to complete the Patrols and public events in the currently eclipsed zone.
Now you are probably well familiar with these types of activities and if you are not, then you need to simply head to an area on the map marked by asteroids. When you arrive at the marked point, you will know that you are in the right place, once you are given the Stasis Regeneration Buff.
The zone usually changes to a random location every week, so it will be up to you to figure out where you want to go. Once you are there, take on whichever patrols and public events you like. Heroic public events will give the most progress towards the quest, but it is up to you that you can flip between either and take them on at your own pace. After you have reached the required amount of progress, simply head back to the campsite and speak with the Exo stranger to complete the quest.
The reward that you will be given to complete the A Hard Rain Falls Quest is that you will be given the High Albedo Sidearm. It is a pretty cool-looking little pistol with an adaptive frame and has the capability to fire three bursts round.
As it is always expected, the perks are rolled randomly, but eventually, you May luck out by getting perks like Wellspring or Appended Mag. Step 1: Complete Public Events
The first step in the quest is the completion of the activities inside the currently eclipsed zone. By seeing the falling stars/ asteroids we know about the active zone. The buff is applied when you are in the active zone. This buff is Stasis Regeneration. Once you know where to go, make your way to the eclipsed zone.

There are a lot of things to do here but the most rewarding activities will be Patrols(15% progress) and Public events(35% progress). The most simple and efficient way is to hop between Patrols and Public Events to progress.

Step 2: Speak to the Exo Stranger For your Reward
After hitting up 100% progress on step 1, the next step in the quest will be triggered, i.e. to return to the campsite to speak to the Exo Stranger. To do this make your way back to the location on Europa and speak to the stranger. Finally, after speaking to the stranger they will provide you with the High Albedo sidearm.
