With the success of Windjammers in 1994, Dotemu Developer is now coming back with new modernized and enhanced features for their upcoming release of Windjammers 2 is now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Personal Computers in 2021 after being delayed to launch for past two years.

What is Windjammers 2?

Windjammers 2 is a sequel of a 90’s arcade game that is similar to some sports including frisbee and Ice Hockey where there was a competitive throwing back of the disc to each side of the players. The score will be done if f one of the players successfully lands the disc on the opponent’s side.

Windjammers 2 will have new distinct features like hand-drawn 2D animation for its display will also contain several characters from season 1. Dotemu pledged to keep Windjammers 2 the classic vibe of the game from 1994 Windjammers but with a lot of twists and development that will make a lot of people excited.

Back in 2018, it was first announced that the Windjammers are now going in for a brand new acquisition and precise animation by 2019 but it was unfortunately pushed back to the following year. The developer, Dotemu addressed some issues regarding Windjammers 2 being playable to their desired date and later on got delayed once again.

The latest target of the Windjammers 2 release date is about to happen this 2021 with no specified month or day. If some circumstances occur during the preparation, Dotemu will have no choice but to solidify it and can potentially bring the fans of Windjammers 2 to another year of waiting to play the classic game. 

 Windjammers 2 for Nintendo Switch, Playstation & PC

It was confirmed by the Detumo developer that the new era for Windjammers 2 is specially made for Nintendo Switch (windjammers 2 switch release date still not confirmed) and Windows PC and will be played at the time of its availability. Even without the update coming from Sony System, Windjammers 2 will be flying soon on Playstation as it was the most requested platform by the fans. Even good news is that you can play this game without any errors in Google Stadia.

Of course, a game with a lot of new features like Windjammers 2 will require at least some system requirements to run the game. Windjammers 2 also notes some recommended and minimum requirements for a better run. Although this was not officially announced by the game developer nor the programmers of Windjammers 2 an expert from gaming entertainment gave some brief system requirements. Windjammers 2 Characters

According to Eurogamer Expo, the same old line-up will be seen again in Windjammers 2 but some notable new characters are expected to make their names be used by the gamers as they are described as more powerful than the old ones. The names are not yet finalized but they are now making noise as the most anticipated characters in the league. In an interview with  Arnaud De Sousa, he revealed that he tested out the new Widjammers season two and also named two new characters that he often uses, he named Max as the strongest and Mika he pointed out as his favorite in Windjammers 2.
