Metro 2033 Review & Facts

The Metro series debuted with Metro 2033 on May 16, 2010. In this game, you will be playing Artyom, the protagonist. He is one of the survivors of the nuclear war. He is now staying at the Moscow Metro, a safe, hidden underground city.

There is also an antagonist, the Dark Ones. They first existed at a metro station north of where Artyom lives. Their black skin is caused by the interaction with radiation(someone must have experimented on them).

At first, they mean no harm to humans, not like what humans understand. The Dark Ones wanted to live peacefully with the humans. Humans thought that the Dark Ones were bloodthirsty. In Metro 2033, the Dark Ones were continuously trying to get Artyom to understand their intention.

Of course, more characters will be involved in this story, but we don’t want to include too many spoilers. There is no other way to understand the story more than actually playing it!

Metro: Last Light Review & Facts

The second video game of the series is Metro: Last Light, it is released on May 14, 2013. This is the continuation of Metro 2033. At the end of Metro 2033, Artyom and his allies have destroyed the Dark Ones with their missile. Metro: Last Light takes place one year after the previous video game, which is 2034.

In this video game, Artyom is a Spartan ranger, and he was assigned to kill the last of the Dark Ones, who somehow survived the missile attack. In this part of the series, the game introduced new weapons, which made the game more interesting.

Metro Exodus Review & Facts

Metro Exodus is the third part of the series and the most recent one. It was first released on May 15, 2019. At the introduction of this video game, Artyom and two leaders of the Spartan order decided to spend one year outside of the metro. They discovered that the world was not destroyed during the nuclear war.

A lot of places in the world are still habitable. The world has now become confusing for Artyom with all the lies that are told to him. The graphics of the game have a very big improvement compared to the previous game in the series. Metro Exodus has been nominated for more than 10 awards.

According to some news the developer is working on the next one Metro Awakening which is going to be the sequel of this gaming series and will get some news and updates in 2024.
